–60 Minutes correspondent Steve Kroft and his journalist/author wife, Jennet Conant, have bought a six-room co-op on West 79th Street for $2.7 million.
–Artist and photographer Richard Prince has bought a Hamptons summer home in Wainscott for $9.7 million.
–Actress Mariska Hartigay has found a buyer for her downtown penthouse apartment. The home was originally listed for $6.5 million but sold for $5.1 million.
–Golfer Vijay Singh has picked up a home in the Hamptons on Further Lane for $9.5 million.

From the NY Observer’s Manhattan Transfers:
–Heiress Libet Johnson has sold the 162-year-old, 25-foot-wide townhouse she bought the house from Meryl Streep in October 2005 for $12.85 million. Johnson had bought the home for or $9.1 million and originally listed it for nearly $16 million.
–Producer Marty Richards is still trying to sell his 14-room, four-bedroom duplex, shown above, on the garden of the iron-gated River House. It was first listed seven years ago for $17.5 million and went down to $11.5 million in 2003. It rocketed up to $29 million and now sits at $22.7 million.
–Jailed Jamaican-born British multimillionaire Carl Cushnie has sold a two-bedroom condo loft for $1.325 million.
–Another sale at the loft building 30 Crosby. Joel Distend, a retired executive whose apartment was damaged when Lenny Kravitz’s toilet overflowed, has sold his 4,164-square-foot apartment for $6.2 million.

From Berg Properties Celebrity Big Time Listings:
–Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones has sold his Manhattan town home for $9,001,000, more than $1,800,000 above his asking price.
–From the NY Times’ Big Deal, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has listed his five-bedroom condo in New York City’s Trump Tower for $22,500,000. The listing is here.
–Denise Richards paid $4.395 million for her new house in Hidden Hills, California which is across the street from her current house, which is on the market for $3,799,950.
–Kimora Lee Simmons paid the $5.9 million for her new home in Beverly Hills that is next door to Jessica Simpson’s house.
–Lucy Lawless has sold her five-bedroom house in Los Angeles’ Studio City area for an undisclosed price after it had been on the market for $3,695,000.
–Mel Gibson’s Malibu home sold for $23 million earlier this year meaning that he most likely took a loss on it after fees.

–It’s official Richard Gere has bought in to Palazzo Chupi, the New York City condominium project being built by artist and filmmaker Julian Schnabel.
–Enterprise Rent-A-Car rental-car billionaire Jack Taylor has bought a Palm Beach, Fla., home for about $6.75 million.
–The price of a Montana ranch owned by the late Liz Claiborne has been cut 12% after a year on the market to $7.5 million from $8.5 million The listing for the 720-acre Tranquility Ranch is here.
